The Old Cooperage celebrates the historic relationship between Château Tanunda and A.P. Johns Coopers. Since establishing the Château Tanunda Cooperage in 1889, four generations of the John family have worked in coopering in the Barossa and still provide barrels to our winery.
For this limited release wine of just 250 dozen, we selected two special parcels in Bethany to craft our 2020 Old Cooperage Grenache.
Lifted aromas of cherry, raspberry, and liquorice are accompanied by spicy red berry fruits on the palate. Medium bodied on the pallet, the finish is long with fine-grained tannins. 250 dozen produced.
