From our estate vineyard on the sandy loam soils in Bethany, the oldest settlement in the Barossa. Lifted aromas of blackberry, blueberry and black pepper supported by spicy, dark berry fruits on the palate. The extensive finish is framed by elegant, fine-grained tannins from maturation in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak.
Halliday Wine Companion 2019:
“A wine of both compelling intensity of flavour and concentration, yet one of considerable refinement, too. With new and seasoned French and American oak, this is typical of the regional approach. The wine, though, speaks in reticent tones of smoked meat and ferrous ironstone clad in chalky tannins and cedary oak. The boysenberry fruit envelops the palate as the wine opens, auguring for a long future ahead.” 94 Points. Drink By:2038
