Available exclusively to our direct winery customers, this heritage release wine comes from Barossa old vines of at least 35 years in age. Their worthiness has been proven over many vintages, consistently producing fruit for wines of distinction and longevity.
Full of soft plum and dark cherry fruit with rich notes of dark chocolate and subtle oak. The palate is textured and layered, with the dark berry fruit aromas again coming to the fore with a long plush, elegant finish.

Opulent and seductively complex, the bouquet shows dark fruit richness, cured meat, mocha, thyme and toasty oak characters. Old-vine Barossa shiraz aged for 18 months in French and American oak. Wonderful lifted aromatics of ripe blood plum and blackberry fruits along with notes of baking spice, cedar, cherry clafoutis, dark chocolate, blackforest cake, licorice and purple flowers. Weighty and intense with a dark fruit flow, superfine tannin, bright acidity and sweetly fruited, black fruit compote on the long finish. Lovely.
