This Cabernet Sauvignon is from our single estate vineyard in the Bethany subregion of the Barossa. These low-yielding “Barossa Old Vines” were planted over 50 years ago and are now fully mature. They have a root structure and trunk thickness that encourage diversity of flavour and character.
Vibrant dark fruit, chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon aromas. An exotic and full-bodied palate driven by flavours of fruits of the forest, blackcurrant and a hint of savoury spice bound together by succulent fine-grained tannins. A wine of great length which will reward time in the cellar until 2030.

93 Points – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Deep, dark, rich and complex, the 2016 50 Year Old Vines Cabernet Sauvignon is a treat to taste. Earthy, tobacco-like notes add interest to the plum and cassis fruit, picking up subtle hints of toast and vanilla. It’s full-bodied and expansive on the palate yet retains an appropriate varietal sense of reserve, leading into a long, elegant finish. Drink 2020 – 2030”
